The Museum of Work and Culture chronicles the journey of the region's French Canadian immigrants, who left their Quebec homes in the 1800s to come work in Woonsocket's mills and factories. It's displays include a rural Quebec farmhouse, the shop floor of century-old textile factory, and recreations of turn-of-the-century Quebec families at home, in church, and in school. The museum lies in the heart of town, on the west side of River Island Park.
